Covington Partners Hosts March Community Coalition Meeting

Covington, KY, – Covington Partners will host its’ March Community Coalition meeting on Tuesday, March 14 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Life Learning Center (20 West 18th Street, Covington KY 41011).  Lunch will be provided.

Stacie Strotman, Executive Director of Covington Partners, will present the results from the Kentucky Incentives for Prevention (KIP) survey of Covington Independent Public Schools students that was administered in the fall of 2016. The KIP survey provides information about student self-reported use of substances (e.g., within the last 30 days, last year), student perceptions about substance use (e.g., level of risk, peer and parent disapproval), and perceived accessibility of substances in the community. The KIP survey is Kentucky’s largest source of data related to student use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, as well as a number of factors related to potential substance abuse.

Covington Partners’ community coalition is comprised of over 100 individuals and organizations representing education, government, social services, business and community-based organizations.  The quarterly community coalition meetings are a time to network, learn about youth-serving organizations in Northern Kentucky and how best to serve students and families in Covington schools.
